Frank Allen Barnett of Waynesboro, TN was born November 15, 1936 in New Madrid, MO, the son of the late Jesse Frank and Hazel Louise Shy Barnett. He married the former Patsy Nell Brewer on July 9, 1955 and she preceded him in death on June 29, 1991. Mr. Barnett then married the former Celia Dixon Bass on June 11, 1999 and she preceded him in death on July 27, 2020. He was a retired automobile salesman, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He had served in the Tennessee National Guard. He departed this life on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Wayne Medical Center, Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 1 Month, 13 Days.
He is survived by sons, Victor Barnett, wife, Kathy and Andee Brewer Barnett, wife, Stephanie all of Waynesboro, TN; daughters, Jyl Barnett Davis, husband, Tim, Ringgold, GA, Joby Hughes, husband, Mark and Bridget Crews, husband, Jason all of Waynesboro, TN; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Rick Barnett, wife, Marsha, Hendersonville, TN; sisters, June Steele, husband Jeter, Waynesboro, TN and Betty Hurst, Birmingham, AL; and nieces and nephews.
Services were Friday, December 30, 2022 at 1:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Adam Rush and Cal Hampton officiating. Burial was in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, TN assisting the family. Pallbearers were Joel Barnett, Tyler Hughes, Cameron McDonald, Ben Hargrove, Heath Davis, and Josh Coulter.
