Kenneth Dewayne Coker, age 33, of Florence, Alabama, was arrested on Sunday, September 5th on multiple drug-related charges. Sgt. Michael Byrd of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office filed a report stating that he performed a traffic stop on Coker’s vehicle for a seatbelt violation. When Coker stepped out of the vehicle, Sgt. Byrd allegedly observed two hypodermic needles in the driver’s seat, along with a cigarette pack that Coker allegedly admitted contained over 5 grams of methamphetamine. In Coker’s wallet, Sgt. Byrd allegedly discovered two Xanax pills and a substance believed to be heroin. Coker was arrested on charges of possession of schedule I heroin, manufacture/delivery/sell/possession of meth, simple possession of schedule IV, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving on a suspended license. He was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $190,000.00 bond.
