The Waynesboro Rotary Christmas Parade will officially kick off the Christmas season in Wayne County on Saturday, December 4th at 6:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to come out and “Celebrate Griswold Style” with the Christmas Vacation movie-themed event. As in many years past, the parade will feature beautifully decorated floats, antique cars, and ATVs. The Wayne County High School Marching Band will play favorite Christmas songs as they march along the parade route, and Santa Claus will make his annual appearance in the parade to the delight of the young and the young-at-heart. Lineup for the parade will be at 5:00 p.m. in the Piggly Wiggly parking lot, and the parade will make its way through town, around the square, and down Main Street to Wayne County High School. The parade will coincide with the 2nd Annual Christmas on the Square event.

“A Stroll Through Christmas,” sponsored by the Clifton Rotary Club, is held on the second Saturday each December on Main Street in Clifton. This year’s event will be held on December 11, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Main Street will be illuminated by candlelight, every business will be theme decorated, and carolers will be singing traditional Christmas songs. Children can have cookies with Santa (a free professional photo will be given for each child). There will be free crafts for kids and a Christmas tree farm, and restaurants will be open. The night will end with a Christmas presentation at the historic Presbyterian Church. For more event information, contact Denise Lineberry at: (731) 607-1614 or [email protected].

The Collinwood Christmas Parade will be held this year on Sunday, December 12th at 2:00 p.m., with lineup at 1:15. The theme for the Collinwood parade is “A Treasure of Christmas Memories.” The Collinwood Post 254 Color Guard will lead the parade, and the Collinwood Beautification Board, hosts of the parade, promise another great parade this year with floats, horses, cars, tractors, and lots of other participants. All businesses, churches, schools, and individuals are encouraged to participate. Gift cards will be awarded to winners of different categories. Santa Claus himself will once again make an appearance in the Collinwood parade as he travels to Wayne County from the North Pole to see who has been naughty or nice!
