Those with a wide smile, sparkling eyes, and a well-rehearsed demeanor, ages birth to 21, are invited to take the stage on Saturday, April 22 for the spectacular First Annual Miss Natchez Valley of Middle Tennessee Pageant. This event will feature eight different age divisions, and is scheduled to begin at 12:30pm at the Waynesboro Middle School. The event is sponsored by the Downtown Waynesboro Committee.

Many have asked, “Why ‘Miss Natchez Valley?’”  On March 7, 2023, the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, along with South Central Tennessee Tourism, announced a new tourism branding for Wayne County: “Natchez Valley.” With Waynesboro being the county seat of Wayne County, and being located in the Tennessee River Valley, the Downtown Waynesboro Committee selected the pageant name in honor of this long-awaited achievement.

Over thirty miles of the Natchez Trace National Park runs through our beautiful county, with several exits leading visitors to many options for shopping, dining, leisure, and refueling. This roadway has long been a valuable opportunity for our area. The Downtown Waynesboro Committee is dedicated to enhancing and promoting locally owned businesses in the downtown Waynesboro city limits area. Therefore, the committee members would like to extend a cheerful welcome to all interested parties from the surrounding Tennessee River Valley areas to partake in this exciting new event.

A registration fee will be charged at the door for all participants, as well as an admission fee for attendees.  Drinks and refreshments will be available throughout the day as well.

If you have any questions, contact Maegan Edwards at (931)722-8457. All are invited to come and enjoy the afternoon in Waynesboro with some of the beauties our area has to offer.
