Collinwood Middle School hosted their annual Fields of Faith on October 9, 2019, at Pat Brewer Stadium. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes from Clifton, Collinwood, and Waynesboro performed skits and dramas, praised God through songs, read from the Bible, and prayed.

Luke Calton was the guest speaker, and did a wonderful job of bringing God’s word. Many described the event as “marvelous,” “wonderful,” “soul-reaching,” and “soul-touching.” Wayne Countians came out in abundance to support these students, and a blessing was received by all. FCA leaders said that it is “truly an amazing experience to live in a county where so much love can be felt for each other.”

Although the different schools in Wayne County may be rivals on the field or on the court, these young people showed that their hearts may all be united for God. The CMS FCA students expressed their appreciation to all the FCA Huddle groups in the county who participated in the program. Students from each of the middle and high schools in the county performed in some way at the event. The CMS FCA students and leaders also expressed their appreciation to the other Huddle Group coaches and the adults who worked together to make the event happen. Many of the churches in the area also let out their Wednesday night services so their congregants could attend.

Those who organized the event said that they want to “give God the glory” for the event’s success.
