Frank Hughes School’s Lady Lions and Lions have had a busy first half of the season. With multiple games, Christmas Break play, and practice, the excitement has been met with a whirlwind of activities. In order to catch our fans up, we will start with an update on stats. The Lady Lions are led in scoring this season by McKenzie Boucher and Jaden Surratt. Both McKenzie and Jaden average 10 points per game. Delaney Burns, Junior, helps round out the top three by averaging 8 points per game. Lindee Tuck, Caden Prince, and Zaria Wilburn each scoring an average 3 points help to complete the team’s roster. Frank Hughes Lady Lions have picked up a couple of wins this season and are looking to add to their win record as they get into the heart of their season.

Frank Hughes’ Lions team is led by four outstanding Seniors, Clayton Davis, Macaden Hunt, Hayden Kiddy, and Aiden Potts, each averaging 14 points per game. Juniors Carson Beckham, Alex Shamer, and Ethan Nance are the team’s up and coming leaders. Each is averaging 8 points per game. The Lions have picked up several wins and look to add to their win record with upcoming games against Bruceton, Zion Christian, and Perry County. Sophomores working to increase Frank Hughes scoring are Connor Lineberry, Alex Ronchetti, and Grady Seltzer, each averaging 3 points per game. The Lions are excited to have Weston Lineberry and Aiden Dicus starting some games as Freshmen and playing like Seniors. These two are averaging 5 to 7 points each game.    Frank Hughes will take on the Big Sandy Red Devils on Friday, January 14. This will also be the celebration of Homecoming. Everyone is invited to attend.
