Ronald Dean Staggs, age 51, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Thursday, August 19th on two counts of felon in possession of a firearm. Waynesboro Police Chief Walter Smith assisted Parole Supervisor Bill Patterson during a home visit to Staggs’ home on Clifton Turnpike, and during the visit, a .25 caliber pistol was allegedly found under the mattress on Staggs’ bed, and a loaded .22 caliber rifle was allegedly found in Staggs’ bedroom closet. Staggs was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $100,000.00 bond.
