Mr. Edward Lee Caperton was born March 17, 1949 in Wayne County, Tennessee, the son of the late Paul Neal and Maxi Wade Caperton. Mr. Caperton worked in Maintenance at Murray Ohio. He was united in marriage to Linda Kay on December 28, 1982. Mrs. Caperton preceded him in death on March 2, 2002.
Mr. Caperton departed this life on July 14, 2020 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee at the age of 71 Years, 3 Months, 27 Days.
He is survived by three daughters, Kimberly Ann Grigsby and husband Albert of Lawrenceburg, TN, Shelia Jeanette Caperton of Waynesboro, TN, Stephanie Leigh Caperton of Lawrenceburg, TN; two brothers, Stanley Caperton and wife Shirley of Leoma, TN, Frank Caperton of Lawrenceburg, TN; two sisters, Lois Butler of Lawrenceburg, TN, Ruth Hayes of Sheffield, AL; four grandchildren, Trenton Grigsby, Gavin Grigsby, Triston Grigsby, and Christy Caperton. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Xaiden Michael Grigsby and Cayden Michael Grigsby.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Caperton was preceded in death by two sons, James Keith Caperton, Christopher George Caperton; four sisters, Shirley Kilburn, Edith Stults, Neva Odle, Billie Jean
Dodd; and two brothers, Larry and Paul Caperton.
A graveside service was held on July 17, 2020 at the Shields Cemetery in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Chad Balentine officiating.
Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisted the family.
