Mr. Dwight Steven Banks, age 67, of Resaca, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday, November 30, 2021 in Columbia, Tennessee. He was born November 29, 1954 in Decatur, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas D. and Marilyn Johnson Banks, brother, Anthony Banks. He is survived by his sons, Brett Banks, Andy Banks of North Carolina; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Deloris Banks of Collinwood, TN, Richard and Stacey Banks of Trinity, AL; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and Nick Simone of Gonzales, LA, Kay and Danny Hyde of Decatur, AL, Jenny Bledsoe of Moulton, AL, Tammy and Ricky Moore of Iron City, TN, Susan Saint of Florida, Tina Coleman of Alabama, Lynn Schwagman of Tennessee; special friend, Linda Wilson of Resaca, GA; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Service was held Friday, December 3, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Calhoun Chapel with his brother Richard Banks officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Interment followed in the Sugar Valley Cemetery.
