Doris Elaine Churchwell of Clifton, TN was born September 23, 1944 in Perry County, TN, the daughter of the late Johnny Marvin and Beulah Pauline Ray Churchwell. Ms. Churchwell was a retired insurance agent and a member of the Eastern Star. She departed this life on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Hardin Medical Center, Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 9 Months, 19 Days.
She is survived by sons, James Edward Bowling, Jr. of Clifton, TN and Billy Shane Bowling and wife, Tessa Nicole of Friendship, TN; grandchildren, Avery Lamar Bowling and Audrianna Gabrielle Bowling; great-grandchildren, Travis Speed and Alana Speed; a sister, Carrie Jeanette Likaits; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Churchwell was preceded in death by a sister, Johnnie Marie Churchwell.
Services were on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Eric Warren officiating. Burial was in Clifton Cemetery, Clifton, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisting the family. Visitation was on Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers were Nathan Duke, Zaiden Osborn, Shane Bowling, James Bowling, Daniel Bannon, and C.J. Bagget.
