Debra Jean Carroll Gunn was born on December 27, 1956 in Tuscumbia, AL, the daughter of the late Mack and Mary Estelle Johnson Carroll. She was united in marriage to Sewell Wayne Gunn on May 30, 1980. Mr. Gunn preceded her in death on May 21, 2018. Mrs. Gunn was a Sewing Machine Operator at Tennier Industries and a member of the Waynesboro Bible Center in Waynesboro, TN. Mrs. Gunn departed this life on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at her home in Waynesboro, TN at the age of 65 years, 3 months, and 30 days.
She is survived by a son, Bobby Wayne Gunn and wife LaJinda; a stepson, Michael Wayne Gunn and wife Melanie; two brothers, Freddie Carroll and wife Pat, Bobby Carroll and wife Sheila, all of Waynesboro, TN; a sister, Judy Franks and husband A.J. of Zip City, AL; and ten grandchildren, Austin Gunn, Shane Gunn, Makayla Gunn, Allie Gunn, Landon Gunn, Nathen Gunn, Caleb Gunn, Jordan Hadden, Mason Hadden, and Madison Hadden.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gunn was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Gunn.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN. Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN, with Leamon Quillen officiating. Burial followed in the Skelton Cemetery at Waynesboro, TN. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisted the family.
