    Mr. Dakota “Kota” Blake Buttrey was born January 14, 1998 in Savannah, Tennessee the son of Christopher Allen Buttrey and Amanda Gail Stults Davis. He was a member of the Underwood Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama. Mr. Buttrey departed this life on January 17, 2020 at the age of 22 Years, 3 Days.

    He is survived by son, Ryland Kreed Atkinson; daughter, Taylin Brianna West; brothers, Kyle Buttrey, Landon  Andrews; a half-sister, Mallorie Holcombe; grandparents, Sherry Stults and Deborah Morey; aunts and uncles Sherrie Crowell, Lynn Buttrey, Jill Buttrey, Terica Weeks, and Kayla Lambert; cousins, Lacey Staggs, Daniel Staggs, Delaney Wright, Jasmine Ellis, Whitney Buttrey, Ben Weeks, Brianna Weeks and Samson Lambert. He is also survived by many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

    He is preceded in death by grandparents, Terry Stults, Taft Stults, Hardin and Eloise Stults, and J.B. and Etta Mae Pigg; uncles David Stults, Hershel Stults; and a cousin Emily Ellis.

   Services were held on January 20, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Matt Beurhaus officiating. Burial followed in Railroad Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee. Pallbearers were Montana Staggs, Dakota Rector, Dylan Yager, Austin Smith, Logan Liner and Lonnie Dixon.
