Cypress Inn Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault

   Thomas James Craig, age 48, of Cypress Inn was arrested on Friday, December 27th on two counts of aggravated assault. The report states that on Wednesday, December 25th. Deputy Holly Tuck and Lt. Seth Norris were dispatched to a residence on Craig Road in reference to an assault. Upon arriving at the scene, the officers took statements from two individuals, Greg Allison and Mavelien Kandle, who both alleged that Craig had run over Allison with his truck while Allison was on a 4-wheeler. Allison stated that when Craig hit him, he was thrown off the 4-wheeler onto the ground, and when he opened his eyes, Craig was standing over him with a rifle pointed to his head. Craig allegedly told Allison that he would kill him, then got back into his truck and told both alleged victims that he would kill them before driving away. Craig was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $100,000.00 bond.
