A home cleanup hotline has been set up for those needing assistance with damage from the March 31st tornado. The number for the hotline is 731-203-3420.

Wayne County EMA Director Brian Smith said that those who need help can call the number listed and will be connected with volunteers from local relief organizations, community groups, and faith communities.

The types of assistance offered from calling the hotline are:

  • Cut fallen trees
  • Drywall, flooring, and appliance removal
  • Tarping roofs
  • Mold mitigation

All these services are free, but service cannot be guaranteed due to the overwhelming need. The hotline will remain open through Friday, May 12, 2023.
