Collinwood Woman Arrested for Drugs, Child Endangerment

   Charlena Dale Borden, age 28, of Collinwood, was arrested on multiple drug charges on Tuesday, May 18th. Officer Matthew Patterson of the Waynesboro Police Department filed a report stating that he responded to the scene of an overdose in the Dollar General parking lot in Waynesboro. When Officer Patterson arrived, EMS was on the scene and had already administered Narcan to Borden, who had reportedly overdosed on narcotics. Officer Patterson went to the hospital where Borden was transported and took her statement, and she allegedly admitted to driving from her aunt’s home into town with her minor son as a passenger in the vehicle. A search of Borden’s vehicle allegedly revealed 7.1 grams of methamphetamine, 14 Oxycodone pills, and $398 in cash. Borden was charged with driving under the influence of an intoxicant, child endangerment, driving while in possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of possession of schedule II with intent. She was later booked into the Wayne County Jail on $117,500.00 bond.
