Collinwood Man Arrested for Meth, Tampering with Evidence

   Jonathon Keith Robbins, age 41, of Collinwood, was arrested on Saturday, July 4th on multiple drug charges following a traffic stop. Deputy Austin Lanier performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in which Robbins was the passenger for a muffler violation. A search of vehicle did not reveal any contraband; however, officers allegedly discovered a pill bottle wrapped in electrical tape, a short straw, and two plastic bags containing 2.5 grams of methamphetamine lying on the ground near the passenger side of the vehicle where Robbins was sitting. Robbins allegedly admitted to throwing the drugs out of the vehicle. He was arrested on charges of possession of schedule II meth with intent to resale, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence. He was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $135,000.00 bond.
