Collinwood Man Arrested for Attempted Theft of Patrol Car

   Richard Blake Rochell, age 26, of Collinwood was arrested on Tuesday, October 13^th on charges of theft of property $10,000-$25,000, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication. Officer Shannon Adams of the Collinwood Police Department filed a report stating that he observed Rochell standing near the public roadway, visibly drinking beer and appearing intoxicated. Rochell was allegedly speaking in incomplete sentences and exhibiting threatening behavior. After allegedly threatening to steal Officer Adams’ patrol car, and Officer Adams giving commands for Rochell to stop, Rochell attempted to open the driver’s side door of the patrol car. Rochell was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $51,000.00 bond.
