Collinwood High School will be celebrating Homecoming on October 23rd, 2020. The week leading up to the game on Friday will be very different than homecoming weeks in the past, as the social distance guidelines regulate many activities. Students and teachers in each class will work diligently to complete individual art pieces to create Trojan Spirit quilts for the school float, choreograph and perform a lip sync battle, and participate in crazy competitions such as charades, minute to win it, human tic tac toe, etc. Students learn and have the opportunity to apply many life skills while they multitask, collaborate, and cooperate with peers to complete activities all for a common goal.

Theme for the week: What time is it?”

Tuesday – Time to Entertain (dress as your favorite movie character, celebrity, etc.)

Wednesday – Time to Celebrate (dress to represent your favorite holiday)

Thursday – Time to Rep (class colors: 9th-Orange, 10th-Red, 11th-Blue, 12th-tie dye)

Friday – Time to Shine (show your Trojan Spirit!!!)

The Homecoming Parade lineup will be at 3:30 on Friday in the front parking lot of CHS. The parade will start at 4:00 and travel to the Dixie Youth Park. The Spirit Chants will start at 6:45pm. Kickoff for the Collinwood Trojans vs. McEwen is at 7:00 pm. Homecoming Coronation will take place at half-time of the football game.

Senior Princesses were nominated by the faculty and voted on by the entire student body. The winner will be announced at halftime of the game. The underclassmen Princesses are nominated and elected by their grade peers.

Senior Princesses are Harlee Bonds, Kensey Howe, Addie Kate Littrell, Chloe Ray, and Gracie Saxon; Junior Princess is Rachel Stults; Sophomore Princess is Ivy Horton; and Freshman Princess is Katie Lee Morris.
