Collinwood Couple Arrested After Officers Find Drug Paraphernalia in Home With Three Children

   Jerry Wayne Copeland, Jr., age 33, and Anna Meshea Walker Copeland, age 32, both of Collinwood, were arrested on Sunday, November 3rd. Deputy Jaggar Thompson responded to a call at 1736 Collinwood Highway in regard to people allegedly using drugs in the home and outbuilding at the address. After obtaining permission to search the house and outbuilding, Deputy Thompson allegedly located a used glass pipe in the kitchen trash can, along with six additional glass pipes containing methamphetamine residue in the outbuilding. Also found in the outbuilding was a plastic bag containing approximately 3.1 grams of marijuana, which Anna Copeland allegedly admitted was hers. Three young children, all under the age of 14, were in the home at the time and had access to the kitchen trash can and the outbuilding. Jerry Wayne Copeland, Jr. was arrested on three charges of reckless endangerment and one charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, and was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $10,000.00 bond. Anna Walker Copeland was arrested on three charges of reckless endangerment and one charge of simple possession/casual exchange, and was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $10,000.00 bond.
