Colene Shelton Rasbury

Colene Shelton Rasbury of Waynesboro, TN was born September 28, 1927 in Wayne County, TN, the daughter of the late Claude Nathaniel and Curla Beckman Shelton. She was united in marriage to William Harold Rasbury on August 23, 1952 and he preceded her in death on March 5, 1993. Mrs. Rasbury was a retired teacher and factory worker and departed this life on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 94 Years, 11 Months and 18 Days. She is survived by two sons, John L Rasbury and wife, Rosa of Franklin, TN and Richard M Rasbury and wife, Angelita of Crestview, FL; a brother, James Ray Shelton and wife, Omalee of Arrington, TN; four grandchildren, Stephanie Ann (Rasbury) Sapp, Brithani De Los Santos, Brianna Rasbury and Andrew L Rasbury and wife, Maggie; three great-great-grandchildren, Noah Sapp, Amaya Sapp and Dean Rasbury and three nephews and one niece. Other than her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Fannie Lou Phillips. Services for Mrs. Rasbury were held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 11 am at Shackelford Funeral Director’s chapel in Waynesboro, TN with Bobby Carroll officiating.  Burial was in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family.
