Clyde Walker, Jr. of Waynesboro, TN was born on March 21, 1934 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of the late Percy Clyde Walker, Sr., Mamie Cannon Walker, and Nola Tinin Walker. He was united in marriage to the former Shirley Ann Ary on June 29, 1955. Mr. Walker retired as a machinist from Lincoln Brass Works. He was known as an expert Volkswagen mechanic as well as an avid fisherman and hunter. Mr. Walker was a former Wayne County Constable, Sheriff’s Deputy, County Commissioner and School Board member. He was the first president of Lincoln Brass Local Union 2325 and a member of the Masonic Lodge #127. Mr. Walker was a United States Army veteran and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro, TN. He departed this life on Friday, April 15, 2022 in Waynesboro, TN at the age of 88 years and 25 days.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Ary Walker, Waynesboro, TN; daughters, Sherry Heard, husband, Johnny, Collinwood, TN and Tina Alhashimi, Waynesboro, TN; four grandchildren, Austin Smith, Caleb Alhashimi, Jacob Alhashimi, and McKinley Heard; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his sisters, Irma Lee Mitchell and Loys Smith.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with David Miller, Jim Beavers and Kevin Myers officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery at Waynesboro, Tennessee. Visitation will be Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 1 pm to service time at the church. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County is assisting the family. His family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be given to the Butterfly Foundation, Waynesboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church or to the charity of the sender’s choice.
