The City of Clifton will be participating in the Christmas festivities with their annual “Stroll Through Christmas” on Saturday, December 12th from 3:00-9:00 p.m. Main Street in the beautiful river city has already been beautifully decorated for the event. Different themes and skits are planned for the businesses throughout town. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the sights and sounds on Main Street, shop with local merchants, and visit the historic homes.

The Collinwood Christmas Parade will be held this year on Sunday, December 13th at 2:00 p.m., with lineup at 1:15. The theme for the Collinwood parade is “Together for Christmas.” The Grand Marshal for this year’s Collinwood Christmas parade is Chuck Koblentz, owner and DJ of radio station WWON. The Collinwood Post 254 Color Guard will lead the parade, and the Collinwood Beautification Board, hosts of the parade, promise another great parade this year with floats, horses, cars, tractors, and lots of other participants. One very special float will carry the queen and her court from the Ashtin Grimes Memorial Beauty Pageant held earlier this year. Santa Claus himself will once again make an appearance in the Collinwood parade as he travels to Wayne County from the North Pole to see who has been naughty or nice! For more information on the Collinwood Christmas Parade, contact Jerdie Ayers at 931-722-1099.
