On Tuesday, January 19, the Collinwood High School Trojanettees traveled to Clifton and faced the Lady Lions. The matchup resulted in a Trojanette win with a final score of 53-33. AC Whitehead led the team in scoring with 16 points and had 2 rebounds. Following Whitehead was Sophie Gobbell with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Alyssa Gray scored 8 points and had 2 rebounds, Danlee Bray scored 4 points, Rhianna McWilliams had 2 points and 3 rebounds, Addie Quillen had 2 points and 9 rebounds, Hannah Risner scored 2 points, Haylee Siems had 1 point and 1 rebound, Harlee Haddock had 2 rebounds, and Kaycee Luker had 1 rebound.
The CHS Trojans faced the Clifton Lions, and the game ultimately ended in a tough loss for the Trojans, 45-51. Peyton Ward led the Trojans in scoring with 15 points, and Joe Thompson followed closely behind with 14 points. Benson Blalock and Noah Haddock each scored 5 points, Cort Robertson scored 3 points, Carter Smith scored 2 points, and Dayton Scott scored 1 point.
The Trojanettes and Trojans hosted the Summertown Eagles on Friday, January 22. The Trojanettes walked on the floor determined and with a game plan! They were defeated by the Lady Eagles by a score of 18-48, but the girls battled hard. AC Whitehead led the team in scoring with 9 points and had 1 rebound. Alyssa Gray had 5 points and 1 rebound, Harlee Haddock and Sophie Gobbell each scored 2 points, and Asia Kelly had 5 rebounds.
The Trojans put up a good fight against the Eagles, but ended the night with a loss, 54-74. Leading the team in scoring was Joe Thompson with 12 points. Peyton Ward followed Thompson with 10 points. Dayton Scott scored 9 points, Noah Haddock had 8 points, Benson Blalock scored 5 points, Cort Robertson had 3 points, Joe Hensley, Carter Smith, and Aidan Baskins each scored 2 points, and Fletcher Thompson scored 1 point.
After a tough game Friday, the Trojanettes had to quickly recover to travel to Decatur Co. Riverside on Saturday, January 23. The Trojanettes brought home a win, with a final score of 55-43. AC Whitehead led the team in scoring with 22 points and had 4 rebounds. Asia Kelly had 7 points and 5 rebounds, Harlee Haddock had 7 points and 3 rebounds, Alyssa Gray had 6 points, Sophie Gobbell had 6 points and 7 rebounds, Rhianna McWilliams scored 4 points and had 3 rebounds, Danlee Bray scored 3 points and had 1 rebound, and Addie Quillen had 4 rebounds.
The Trojans also traveled to Riverside on Saturday but ended their game with a loss, 40-65. Carter Smith led the team in scoring with 9 points, and Peyton Ward followed with 7 points. Benson Blalock scored 5 points, Joe Thompson had 4 points, Cort Robertson, Dayton Scott, and Kelsey Moore each scored 3 points, and Joe Hensley, Aidan Baskins, and Landon Lovelace each had 2 points.
