Christopher Scott Pitts Arrested for DOR, Evading Arrest, Drug Paraphernalia

   Christopher Scott Pitts, age 37, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Saturday, November 16th on charges of driving on revoked 4th offense, evading arrest, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The report filed by Deputy Tyler McKenzie stated that he was trying to catch up to a vehicle on Ohio Street in Collinwood which was traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Pitts, pulled into a residence on Ohio Street and allegedly got out of the vehicle and ran behind the residence. Deputy McKenzie was able to chase Pitts down and place him in handcuffs. Dispatch confirmed that Pitts’ driver’s license was revoked. When Deputy McKenzie asked Pitts if there was anything illegal inside the vehicle, Pitts allegedly admitted that there was a meth pipe located between the seats. Deputy McKenzie located the meth pipe, along with rolling papers, a marijuana pipe, several syringes, a spoon, and tweezers. Pitts was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $15,000.00 bond.
