Charles Robert Patterson of Midwest City, OK was born August 25, 1938, to James Hershel Patterson and Gladys Daniel Patterson of Lutts, TN. He departed this life on May 30, 2023, Memorial Day, at the age of 84 years, 8 months, and 30 days. He attended public school in Wayne County, TN.
Charles served 22 years in the Air Force Duty Post at the following locations: The Pentagon, Germany, Korea, Hawaii, and the Vietnam conflict, attaining the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Upon retirement at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK, he was employed and retired with the United States Postal Service.
He enjoyed visiting the community lake with his pet dog and going to the Senior Center.
He is survived by wife, Lenore of Midwest City, OK; son, Jim of Moore, OK; and sisters, Donna (Ross) Sinclair of Centerville, TN, and Doris Barkley of Evansville, IN.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Nina Sue Ledford McWilliams of Waynesboro, TN.
Funeral services were on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 11am at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN with Chaplin Pearson and Ross Sinclair officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Gardens in Waynesboro, TN with Military Rites.
