Carmel Dwain Brewer of Waynesboro, TN was born July 6, 1954 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of the late Carmel (Shad) Brewer and Frances Ludean Clay Brewer. Mr. Brewer was a retired custodian and a member of the Waynesboro Church of God in Waynesboro, Tennessee. He was an avid volunteer firefighter and enjoyed singing and playing his guitar. Mr. Brewer departed this life on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at NHC Healthcare in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee at the age of 67 years, 10 months and 15 days.
He is survived by a sister, Sharon Brewer Dabbs of Lawrenceburg, TN; a brother, Terry Brewer of Waynesboro, TN; nieces, Trina Gail Brewer, Brandi Brewer Carroll, Emily Brewer, Bethany Kelley, and Kimberley Dabbs, and other nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by a brother, Nathan Brewer.
Services were on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Casey Jones officiating. Burial was in Highland Methodist Church Cemetery, Lawrenceburg (Wayne County), Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family. Pallbearers were Justin Brewer, Jerry King, Richard Williams, Phillip Carroll, Paul Gatlin, and Terry Brewer. Honorary pallbearers were volunteer firefighters.
