Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the Butterfly Foundation’s 11th Annual 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run has been moved from Saturday, June 6 to Saturday, August 22. Pre-registration (which allows you to register at a reduced price rather than full-price on race day) will end on Wednesday, July 29. Online registration may be done at butterfly5k.itsyourrace.com; forms can be picked up at any bank and at several businesses in Wayne County; or you can mail entry forms and checks to Jim Beavers, P.O. Box 64, Waynesboro, TN 38485. You may also register on the day of the race.

Several sponsors have already sent in their sponsorship papers and have received their registration forms. Those forms are still good to use on race day. Sponsorship forms are still being accepted; the Foundation asks that these forms be turned in by May 22 to help with the planning for race-related materials. The absolute last day to turn in a sponsorship form and still be able to get on the t-shirt and/or banner will be Monday, June 1.

The Foundation raises the majority of its operating funds through this annual event. To date, the Foundation has given over $721,000 to almost 300 local families, so participation in the race is extremely important.  Please make plans to support the Foundation. Donations can be made at any time to the Butterfly Foundation, P. O. Box 212, Waynesboro, TN 38485.
