   Brent Thomas Dixon, age 49, of Collinwood, Tennessee passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 21, 2020 at his home. He was born on Monday, January 25, 1971 in Florence, Alabama. Brent was a 1989 graduate of Collinwood High School. He was an entrepreneur and owned and operated several businesses with his father. Brent was also an avid farmer and an enthusiast of tractor pulling. He was thrilled to be back on his tractor, Rowdy, and was looking forward to this upcoming season. Brent had a big heart, was a great listener, and will be missed by so many.

   Brent is survived by his parents, Melvin Dixon of Collinwood, TN and Brenda Dixon Butler (Ralph) of Westpoint, TN; stepbrothers, Thomas and Dennis Butler; aunt, Charlotte Wisdom (Carl); cousin, Thomas Wisdom; Godmother and aunt, Alice Wright (Guilford); honorary brother, Brian Brison (Brittany), and countless other relatives and friends. Brent was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Mamie Dixon, Fred and Faye Rogers, and Nona Holden Ray.

   In honor of Brent’s wishes, no visitation was held but any and all friends were invited to attend a graveside service with his family on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Shawnettee Cemetery in Collinwood, Tennessee with Greg Eaton officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisted the family.

Pallbearers were Jeremy Robbins, Tim Perry, Steven Long, Jim Campbell, William Coffman, Dennis Creecy, Brian Brison, and Ben Daniel. Honorary pallbearers were Cranford Jennings, Jamie Lee Ayers, Phillip Casteel, and Randy Butler.
