My name is Brent Smith, and I would like to announce my candidacy for Wayne County Commission, District 4. Living in the Shawnettee area, I have resided in Wayne County my entire life. I have been married to my wife Heather for the past 23 years, and we have two sons, Mason and Wyatt. I own Collinwood and Barlow Auto Parts, in Collinwood and Waynesboro. As a small business owner, I know firsthand the importance of money management, budgeting, and leadership. Before owning my own business, I worked 15 years with the nation’s largest public utility, Tennessee Valley Authority. I held the role of General Foreman in the nuclear facility, which required managing a multi-million dollar budget for outage planning, as well as administrating many employees. I would love the opportunity to put my experience to work in helping the people of Wayne County, and as county commissioner, I will do my best to promote economic development and job opportunities throughout the county. I appreciate the support of the citizens of District 4 in the upcoming election. Please contact me at 931-724-4620 if you have any questions or concerns.
