Mrs. Brenda Kay Kelley Risner was born September 25, 1957 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Wylodean Gilchrist Kelley McFall. She worked as a teacher’s aide for the Wayne County Board of Education. She was united in marriage to Gerald Samuel Risner on July 10, 1975. Mrs. Risner departed this life on October 3, 2021 in Collinwood, Tennessee at the age of 64 Years and 8 Days.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Gerald Samuel Risner; two daughters, Wendy Kaye Thompson and husband Brian, Pattie LeAnn Kephart and husband Jason, all of Collinwood, TN; two brothers, Larry Kelley and wife Joan of Lawrenceburg, TN, John Kelley and wife Christi of Waynesboro, TN; a sister, Barb Risner of Collinwood, TN; eight grandchildren, Nathan Haddock, Alex Haddock, Adam Haddock, Bryce Thompson, Brianna Thompson, Destiny Juarez, Samuel Kephart, Paitlyn Kephart; four great-grandchildren, Treyger Haddock, Kase Ridley, Landrie Kelly, and Lennix Allen.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Risner was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dollie and Ozero Kelley and Jack and Clara Gilchrist.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 6, 2021 from 10:00 AM until service time at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, TN. Services will be held on October 6, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens at Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting.
