Blaze John-Paul Painter Arrested After Attempting to Flee From WCSO Deputies

   Blaze John-Paul Painter, age 25, of Waynesboro was arrested on Sunday, April 19^th on multiple charges after attempting to flee from Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies. The report stated that on April 19^th, Deputy Holly Tuck was dispatched to a residence on Three Churches Road in reference to a suspicious person that walked out of the woods onto the property. When Deputy Tuck arrived on the scene and observed the suspicious person (later identified as Painter), she announced who she was and asked Painter to stop and discuss the situation at hand. Painter then allegedly ran into the woods, and Deputy Tuck lost sight of him. Deputy Tuck then radioed for back-up, and Sergeant Bryant Burcham and Deputy James Brock arrived shortly on scene. The officers ultimately spotted Painter and were able to apprehend him without further incident. When Painter was taken into custody, he was allegedly found to be in possession of items stolen from the residence. In regard to this incident, Painter was charged with criminal trespass, aggravated burglary, theft under $1,000, evading arrest, and resisting arrest. Painter was also charged with burglary of a motor vehicle, vandalism over $1,000, and an additional charge of theft under $1,000 in relation to a vehicle burglary he allegedly committed from a vehicle parked off the roadway on Hog Creek Road between April 18^th and 19^th. He was booked into the Wayne County Jail on a bond of $79,000.00.
