Billy Ward Grinder was born May 14, 1937 in Linden, TN, the son of the late A.B. Warren and Lillian Ward Grinder. He was united in marriage to Helen Turnbow on July 19, 1958. Mr. Grinder was a member of the Clifton Church of Christ in Clifton, TN, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and worked as a crossroad truck driver. He departed this life on September 21, 2022 in Clifton, TN at his home at the age of 85 years, 4 months, and 7 days.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Turnbow Grinder of Clifton, TN; daughters, Melissa Horner of Clifton, TN and Belinda Grinder of Waynesboro, TN; grandson, Brandon Horner; and great-grandchildren, Haze Horner, Brayken Horner, and Jayce Horner .
In addition to his parents, Mr. Grinder was proceeded in death by a sister, Betty June Carroll.
A memorial service will be held at a later time. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County is assisting the family.
