   Mrs. Betty Sue Thompson Butler was born October 17, 1940 in Collinwood, Tennessee to the late Talmadge Hugh and Ila Gustava Taylor Thompson. She was united in marriage to Willie Louis Butler on January 9, 1960. Mr. Butler preceded her in death on April 11, 2005. Mrs. Butler was a member of County Line Full Gospel Church. She had formerly worked for Genesco Boot Company, NHC Brink, NHC Scott, and served for 14 years in Lawrence County as a foster mother. Mrs. Butler departed this life on August 31, 2020 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee making her stay in this life some 79 Years, 10 Months and 14 Days.

   She is survived by a son, William Butler and wife Christy; a daughter, Debbie Robeson and husband Rob; four brothers, Willie Ray Thompson, David Thompson, Kenneth Thompson, Arlie Thompson; and a sister, Blanche Weeks. Mrs. Butler is also survived by four grandchildren, Dalton Butler, Andrew, Daniel and Joshua Smith.

   In addition to her husband of 45 years and parents, Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her brothers Jackie and Howard Thompson and sister Louann Gambrell.

   Services will be held on Wednesday September 2, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood with Milburn Hagan and Jason Hagan officiating. Burial will follow in the Butler Grove Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors Assisting.
