Betty June Tucker Crews of Waynesboro, TN was born June 4, 1932 in Hickman County, TN. She was the daughter of the late Alton and Minnie Johnson Tucker. Betty was united in marriage to Van Cole Crews on July 1, 1950 and he preceded her in death September 9, 2006.
Betty was a retired cafeteria worker for Wayne County High School. She was a member of the Waynesboro Church of Christ and was most recently a resident at Wayne County Rehabilitation Center. She departed this life on May 12, 2023 in Waynesboro, TN at the age of 90 years,11 months, and 8 days.
Betty is survived by sons, David Allen Crews (Carol) of Cypress Inn, TN, and Anthony Wayne “Tony” Crews of Waynesboro, TN; brothers, Kenneth Tucker of Nashville, TN, Ray Tucker (Pat) of Hendersonville, TN, and Jimmy Tucker (Linda) of Old Hickory, TN; grandchildren, Joy Stults (Stephen) of Iron City, TN, and Brian Crews (Valerie) of Collinwood, TN; great-grandchildren, Kayla Calton (Thad), Hunter Crews (Alexis), Ally Crews, Rachel Stults, Gabriella Stults, Avery Stults, and Brinn Crews; great-great-grandchildren, Leah, Sloan, Wake, John Alex, Kyrie, Kameron, Journee, and Evie; and brothers/sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by brothers, Frank, J.B., Al, and Howard Tucker.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 11:00 am at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN with Stephen Stults and Cary Crews officiating. Burial followed in the Shields Cemetery in Waynesboro, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
