Mr. Ashby Lee “Buck” Jobe, age 91, a resident of Collinwood, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at NHC Scott in Lawrenceburg.
The family will celebrate his life with services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on January 11, 1929 in Hanson, Kentucky, Buck was the son of the late Richard Jobe and the late Mamie Foster Jobe. He married Jewel R. Pope on December 30, 1970 and previously worked as an engineer for a Light and Gas Company. He was a member of a Masonic Lodge in Kentucky for seventy years and was a Kentucky Colonel. Buck enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Tim (Sonya) Jobe of North Carolina, Rick (Kim) Lineberry of Michigan, Lanny (Laura) Jobe of Indiana, Alan (Cathy) Jobe of Indiana; daughter, Debbie (Robert) Dial of Collinwood; sister, Bine (Lecture) Croley of Kentucky; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David A. Lineberry and wife Diane; brothers: Willard Jobe, Charlie Jobe, Arnold Jobe, C.J. Jobe; sisters: Mally Jackson, Wallen Winston, Anna Mae Hayes, Jeanette Browning.
