Arrests Include Meth, Pills, Sexual Exploitation of a Minor

James Travis Burlison, age 43, of Hohenwald, TN, was arrested on Tuesday, February 1 on multiple charges when officers responded to a call of a suspicious person opening car doors on Hassell Drive. Sgt. Bryant Burcham of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office filed a report stating that upon his arrival at the scene, he made contact with Burlison, who was sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked on Hassell Drive. As he approached Burlison’s vehicle, Sgt. Burcham allegedly detected a strong odor of marijuana. A check of Burlison’s license revealed that he had a felony warrant outstanding from Lewis County, and a search of the vehicle led to the recovery of 3.0 grams of methamphetamine, a Glock 9mm pistol, and a mason jar full of marijuana. Burlison was arrested on charges of manufacture/delivery/sale/possession of methamphetamine, armed dangerous felonies, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of schedule IV marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $195,000.00 bond.

Curt Austin Gerber

Curt Austin Gerber, age 31, of Iron City, was arrested on Tuesday, February 1 on a capias issued by the Wayne County Grand Jury following an indictment for the sale of methamphetamine. He was booked into the Wayne County Jail with no bond.

W. Bret Lawrence

W. Bret Lawrence, age 61, of Shelbyville, TN, was arrested on Thursday, February 3 following a call of a vehicle racing their engine at Sonic in Waynesboro. Officer Matthew Patterson filed a report stating that he made contact with Lawrence at Sonic, and Lawrence appeared to be under the influence. Lawrence allegedly performed poorly on the standardized field sobriety tests performed by Officer Patterson, and was arrested on charges of DUI 3rd offense and violation of implied consent. He was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $25,000.00 bond.

Noelia Norato Rodriguez, age 56, of Collinwood, was arrested on Thursday, February 3 following a traffic stop. Sheriff Shane Fisher filed a report stating that Rodriguez was pulled over for multiple traffic violations, and a subsequent search of the vehicle revealed four pharmaceutical bottles containing 480 pills identified as Tramadol, a schedule IV opioid. Rodriguez then allegedly admitted to delivering the pills from Mexico to Wayne County. She was arrested on a charge of possession of schedule IV with intent to deliver, and was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $125,000.00 bond.

Alexander Michael Sanders

Alexander Michael Sanders, age 23, listed as homeless, was arrested on Thursday, February 3 on charges of soliciting sexual exploitation of a minor and aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. According to the report filed by Investigator Matt Retherford, Sanders solicited a minor by electronic means to engage in sexual activity, and possessed material depicting the minor engaged in sexual activity with intent to distribute the material. He was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $150,000.00 bond.

Rusty Wayne Parrish

Rusty Wayne Parrish, age 43, of Savannah, TN, was arrested on Saturday, February 5 on charges of possession of schedule II methamphetamine and driving on a suspended license. Deputy Jagger Thompson filed a report stating that he conducted a traffic stop on Parrish for failing to maintain lane and no seatbelt. When Parrish was pulled over, his driver’s license was found to be suspended, and a search of the vehicle allegedly revealed 4.2 grams of methamphetamine. Parrish was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $77,500.00 bond.
