Arrests Include False Report, Domestic Assault, Methamphetamine

James Paul Forrest, age 37, of Huntingdon, TN, was arrested on Thursday, December 9th on a charge of filing a false report. The arrest warrant filed by Investigator Matt Retherford stated that Forrest admitted to filing a report of a stolen vehicle with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office in regard to a vehicle that he knew was not stolen. Forrest was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $25,000.00 bond.

Lindsey Brookie Mayes

Lindsey Brookie Mayes, age 36, of Iron City, was arrested on Friday, December 10th on charges of aggravated domestic assault, possession of meth with intent, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputy Isaac Urffer filed a report stating that he was dispatched to a residence on Caperton Hollow Road on a call of possible domestic violence. When he arrived on scene, he spoke with the alleged victim who stated that Mayes had bitten him on the ear lobe and on the tongue, causing severe injury. Mayes was also allegedly found to be in possession of a syringe containing 12cc of methamphetamine, a plastic bag containing a small amount of meth, three additional empty syringes, and a glass pipe. Mayes was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $102,500.00 bond.

Brensen Tyler Lawrence

Brensen Tyler Lawrence, age 26, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Saturday, December 11th on a capias issued by the Wayne County Grand Jury following the WCSO’s recent “Operation Cleanout” methamphetamine investigation. Lawrence was indicted on a charge of conspiracy to sell 300 grams of methamphetamine, and was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $100,000.00 bond.

Chad Yeiser Simmons

Chad Yeiser Simmons, age 36, of Clifton, was arrested on charges of possession of meth with intent and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputy Gabrielle Austin filed a report stating she was dispatched a residence in response to a call of possible domestic assault. While Deputy Austin was on scene, she allegedly found Simmons to be in possession of 1.1 grams of methamphetamine and a glass pipe. The report stated that no domestic assault had occurred. Simmons was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $85,000.00 bond.
