Arrests Include Assault, Grand Jury Indictments for Methamphetamine

Danny Lee Manning, age 34, of Lafayette, TN, was arrested on Wednesday, January 12th on a capias issued by the Wayne County Grand Jury. On June 23, 2021, the Grand Jury returned an indictment against Manning on one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent. He was booked into the Wayne County Jail with no bond due to a violation of probation.

Jeremy John Davis

Jeremy John Davis, age 44, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Friday, January 14th on charges stemming from incidents on December 1 and 2, 2021. On Wednesday, December 1, Deputy Mai Kinney was dispatched to a residence on Green River Road where he made contact with Davis’ parents. Mr. and Mrs. Davis alleged that their son forcefully entered the home, yelling and hitting Mr. Davis. When Mrs. Davis tried to intervene, Jeremy Davis allegedly grabbed her by the arm and caused her to hit her leg on a table. The following day, December 2, Captain Tim Beckham and Chief Deputy Donnie Carroll were attempting to Jeremy Davis. Davis was told by officers to stop, and then proceeded to run into the woods. When he was apprehended, he was allegedly found to be in possession of a .243 caliber rifle.
