Justin Perron Davis, age 38, of Antioch, Tennessee, was arrested on multiple charges after fleeing from an attempted traffic stop in the early morning hours of Monday, January 18th. Deputy Brett Rinehart filed a report stating that he initially attempted to perform a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet Tahoe due to the driver’s side headlight being out. The driver failed to stop and began to speed up, driving recklessly at a high rate of speed. Davis, later determined to be the driver, stopped the vehicle on Highway 641 and fled into the woods carrying a black bag. After ignoring commands to stop, a taser was deployed and Davis was taken into custody. The bag Davis was carrying was allegedly found to contain approximately 353.5 grams of methamphetamine, scales, bags, and a large amount of cash. A search of Davis’ vehicle allegedly revealed approximately 42 grams of marijuana and another large amount of cash. Davis was arrested on charges of felony evading arrest, manufacture/delivery/sale/possession of methamphetamine, driving while in possession of methamphetamine, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, driving on revoked/suspended license, and violation of light law. He was booked into the Wayne County Jail with no bond.
