Amy Shelaine Gatlin, age 49, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Tuesday, January 12th on multiple warrants. Investigator Matt Retherford filed warrants against Gatlin on charges of aggravated burglary, theft over $2,500, and violation of probation in February of 2020. Those reports alleged that between January 20th, 2020 and February 28th, 2020, Gatlin and an accomplice entered the residence of Thomas Hickman, who was incarcerated at the time, and stole Hickman’s belongings including jewelry, a television, a DVD player, clothes, tools, and other household items. When Sgt. Michael Byrd arrested Gatlin at the Hurricane Inn on the outstanding warrants on Tuesday, January 12th, 2020, Gatlin was allegedly found to be in possession of approximately 1.7 grams of methamphetamine, 16 Gabapentin capsules, half of a Xanax bar, one hypodermic needle, and a glass meth pipe. She was additionally charged with manufacture/delivery/sale/possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of schedule V Gabapentin, and simple possession of schedule IV Xanax. She was booked into the Wayne County Jail with no bond.
