Amy Shelaine Cole Gatlin was born August 19, 1971 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of Gerald Cole, who survives, and the late Carol Sue Harbin Cole. Miss Gatlin departed this life on Sunday, September 12, 2021 in Clifton, TN at the age of 50 Years, and 24 Days.
She is survived by her father, Gerald Cole; two daughters, Jessica Hammack and husband C.J. of Summertown, TN, and Jody Taylor and husband Greg of Lawrenceburg, TN; a son, Zane Cole of Waynesboro, TN; two nieces, Megan Williams, and Haley Williams; and five grandchildren, Zoey Wall, Aiden Hammack, Teagan Hammack, Kinsley Wall, Misty Williams.
In addition to her mother, Miss Gatlin was preceded in death by a sister, Misty Cole Pickett; and grandparents, Price and Bonnie June Harbin, and Eugene and Violet Cole.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Philadelphia Cemetery in Waynesboro, TN with Leo Doyle officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisted the family.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to the Wayne County Helping Hands and Gateway House.
