Sgt. Donnie E. Horton American Legion Post 254 became the first participants in Wayne County to complete their two-mile Adopt A Highway cleanup. Partnering with TDOT and Wayne County Solid Waste, these amazing veterans picked up 320 pounds of litter on Highway 13 mile marker 16-18. All the recyclables were pulled from the bags and taken to the Wayne County Solid Waste Facility to be recycled. These guys served in the military for the country they love and are still serving today for the community they love. Thank you Sgt. Donnie E. Horton American Legion Post 254 for your continued service!

If any civic group, business, club, or family is interested in becoming an Adopt A Highway participant, please call Lindsay with Wayne County Solid Waste at 931-722-9616.
