The Downtown Waynesboro Committee will be hosting the second annual “Christmas on the Square” Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 4pm – 6pm.  The event is set to begin prior to the Waynesboro Christmas Parade, featuring 35+ craft and food vendors with a varied collection of hand-crafted goodies from a wide assortment of vendors.

Items for purchase include hand-crafted holiday ornaments, home décor, painted wooden signs, door hangers, soaps, hand-made jewelry, scented candles, custom made shirts/hoodies, delicious foods, baked goods, hot drinks and much, much more!

Many local, home-based businesses will be on display allowing the community to become acquainted with the various types of items and services they offer by showcasing their talents and providing information. Several community clubs, organizations, non-profits and church groups will also be joining in with the festivities as well.

After strolling through the vendors, be sure stop by the gazebo for the little ones to visit Santa before going to the Grinch Party hosted by the Grinch himself. Wander over to roast S’mores with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The little ones will also be able to create a bag of magical reindeer food and craft a Christmas tree ornaments, write a Letter to Santa asking for that special gift, and decorate a sugar cookie!  Stop over at the Elf Bash and let the little ones have fun playing lots of reindeer games, jump in the bouncy house, face painting, cotton candy and so much more!  While exploring the square, you can listen to local talent singing beautiful Christmas carols. All activities are FREE for everyone to enjoy!

Be sure to make your way around the square and visit the businesses open late offering special sales/discounts and do some Christmas shopping.  The square merchants will be hosting their own unique “Merry-Making” activities/give-a-ways in front of their shops, so be sure to check them out as well!

The Downtown Waynesboro Committee invites everyone to enjoy these festivities. Their goal is for this annual event to be a community festival where folks of all ages can enjoy a night out with family and friends. Let this event jumpstart your holiday season with great shopping, good food, and wonderful fellowship while supporting the community. Help make this annual event a magical one! Hope to see you there!    Pictured are some of the festivities and precious memories made at last year’s event.
