American Legion, Sons of American Legion, Ladies’Auxiliary Place Flags to Honor Veterans

On Friday, May 28th, members of the Wayne County American Legion, Sons of the American Legion, and American Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary went to cemeteries all around Wayne County and placed American flags on the graves of our deceased veterans. These dedicated members went to every accessible cemetery they were able to locate to place these flags in honor of these veterans on Memorial Day. Representatives from the American Legion and Sons of the American Legion apologized for any veterans’ graves that may have been missed, but stated that they do their very best every year to place the flags on as many veterans’ graves as possible.

In other American Legion news, members of the Wayne County Sons of the American Legion recently arranged for a camper trailer to house the son of a Wayne County deceased veteran. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the gentleman had become homeless and had nowhere to live. The camper was placed on a lot in Wayne County to provide a home for this veteran’s son in need.
