Ashley Brooke Rich, age 35, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Thursday, March 11th on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of schedule IV Tramadol, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputy Tyler McKenzie filed a report stating that he performed a traffic stop on the vehicle driven by Rich for pulling out into the opposite lane of traffic and driving on the white line. During the course of the traffic stop, Deputy McKenzie deployed K9 Eryk to perform an exterior search of the vehicle, and the K9 allegedly alerted to the passenger side door. A search of the vehicle’s interior went on to allegedly reveal approximately 2.8 grams of methamphetamine inside Rich’s purse that was located on the passenger’s seat, along with 69 Tramadol pills and a syringe located inside a bag in the back seat of the vehicle. Rich was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $87,500.00 bond.
