Waynesboro Man Arrested for Meth, Domestic Assault

   Robert William Willison, III, age 36, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Thursday, June 11th on charges of driving on a revoked/suspended license, possession of schedule II methamphetamine, and aggravated domestic assault. On Friday, May 22nd, Officer Darren Pounders of the Waynesboro Police Department filed a report stating that he performed a traffic stop on Willison for driving on a revoked driver’s license, and an inventory of Willison’s vehicle allegedly revealed a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.

   On Thursday, June 11th, Chief Deputy Donnie Carroll of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a residence on Salem Church Road in Waynesboro in response to an alleged domestic assault. Ingrid Jones told officers that she and Willison became involved in a verbal argument, and Willison then held her down by her neck and busted her lip.

   Willison was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $55,000.00 bond.
