Waynesboro City Officials Say A “New Look” is Coming for East Side of Square

On Wednesday, May 6, demolition began on the Quik Mart building at the corner of the Waynesboro Square and Dexter L. Woods Memorial Boulevard. The business, which has stood as a staple of the city for many years, is being demolished and ground work has begun to ready the property for a new, state-of- the-art building and gas pumps. City Commissioner Chris Bevis stated that he has looked at the plans for the new site, and the improvements coming to the location will help the appearance of our town tremendously. The project is scheduled to be complete around three months from now.
