Mrs. Tammy Lynn Stults Thompson of Iron City, Tennessee, formerly of Madison, Tennessee, was born on January 9, 1960 in Mishawaka, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Russell Ezell and Ellen Mae Wrigley Stults and was united in marriage to Joseph Thompson on January 13, 1976. Mrs. Thompson was a seamstress, having worked with her husband in the upholstery business, and was a member of the Lighthouse Community Church in Madison, Tennessee. Mrs. Thompson departed this life on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama at the age of 60 Years, 2 Months and 5 Days.
She is survived by her husband of over 44 years, Joseph Thompson of Iron City, TN; a son, Joshua Thompson and his girlfriend, Tiana Campbell of Madison, TN; a daughter, Jolene Yount and her husband, Ryan of Springfield, TN; two grandchildren, Maliyah Thompson and Lexia Larravide; two brothers, Mark Russell Stults and his wife, Mariam of Goshen, IN and Matthew Wayne Stults and his wife, Ellen of Cypress Inn, TN; a sister, Jeanith Sherrills of Iron City, TN; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Monday, March 16, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Steven Farless, Sr. officiating. Burial was in the Butler Grove Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family. Serving as pallbearers were Josh Thompson, Ryan Yount, Jonathan Judd, Joe Thompson, Jaime Thompson, Rusty Sherrills, and Shane Sherrills.
