The search for a missing Waynesboro man was called off after his body was discovered on Saturday morning in Waynesboro.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office had earlier requested the public’s help in locating Harold Hill, age 20, who was reportedly last seen on Culp Street in the Simmons Branch area at approximately 11 p.m. on Friday, February 14th. Hill was described as 5’4”, 110 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Sheriff Shane Fisher confirmed on Saturday morning that Hill’s body had been discovered. “Unfortunately, we have located Mr. Harold Hill, who is deceased,” said Sheriff Fisher. “Our condolences are with his friends and family at this time.”
The Sheriff also thanked the Wayne County EMA for their assistance in the search.
Hill’s body was sent for an autopsy after the discovery. Foul play is not suspected at this time.
