18-Year-Old from Hollis Academy Escapes, Steals and Wrecks Vehicle

Raymond Deonta Shepherd, age 18, of Jackson, TN, was arrested on Wednesday, April 19. Shepherd, who is a state resident in detention at Hollis Academy in Waynesboro, allegedly escaped from the facility and stole an employee’s vehicle. According to the report filed by Waynesboro Police Officer Jeffrey Totsch, Shepherd wrecked the stolen vehicle in Chester County, Tennessee. He was apprehended and transported back to Waynesboro, where he was arrested on charges of felony escape and theft of property $10,000-$60,000. He was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $175,000.00 bond.
